Our costume/cosplay contest is a highlight of of the Borderlands Comic Book Show. We will be giving away a prize package of toys, comics, and other goodies to the winner(s). There's no purchase necessary and admission to the show and the contest is free.
TIMES: Judging for the contest will be from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. You may come and go during this time, but you will need to see all the judges to be considered as the contest winner.
WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT 2PM. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
Rules of the Contest
1. Must of school age (enrolled in a school in grades p-12) to be in competition for the prizes (However, we encourage kids of all ages to dress up)
2. The judging will begin at 11:30 and end at 1:30. You may come and go during this time but you must be present to win.
3. Judging will be done by vendors that attend the event and their booth will be marked. Participants will need to visit each booth/judge.
4. Costumes worn can be store bought or homemade.
5. The show is a family friendly event. Costumes must be in keeping with this idea. Scary is OK, but revealing costumes or inappropriate props will not be allowed.
6. No functional weapons or props are allowed. Props that look like weapons such as guns or etc. should be easy to identify from the real item.
7. By entering the contest, participants agree that they may be photographed. Photos may be used in online photo galleries or advertisements by The Borderlands Comic Book Show.
8. The decision of the judges is final.

This year we're excited to add a costume contest for kids 13 and under to our show. We will be giving away a prize package of toys, comics, and other goodies to the winner. There's no purchase necessary and admission to the show and the contest is free.

UPDATE: We will be sponsoring a costume\cosplay contest for kids 13 and under. The winner will receive a prize package of toys, comics, and other cool pop-culture goodies! There is no entry fee but you must be present to win.

Our next show will be Saturday, October 1st at the Logan County Extension Office in Russellville, KY. As always, Admission is free and open to the public. Last October's show was the most successful so far and we're looking forward to having an even better show this fall.
Vendor tables are available now for $50 each. Keep checking our Facebook Page for more updates on the show. This year we want to add a cosplay contest for kids.

Sign up by filling out an entry form on the day of the 17th.
The contest lasts from 10AM to 12:45 PM. Children may come in at any time during this window to be scored by the judges. There is no need to stay for the entire time. You may come and leave and return for announcement of the winners at 1:30 PM. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
